| 2002 | New General Manager of Termal Vladimir Bulanov begins to develop the plant. Due to big investments and efforts of qualified specialists the production volume of Termal and number of employees increased greatly.

| The Soviet Union collapses. Termal is forced to reduce the production and to stop the manufacture of new products.

| The installation of metal-working machines with NPC makes possible production of consumer goods. The workers of the plant apply electropolishing of details from steel and brass and introduce a new method of chromium-plating - vacuum chromium-plating.
More than 86% of consumer goods manufactured at the plant have the state quality mark. Among them are electric kettles, samovars and small water boilers.

| Kalashnikov becomes the first man in the world who builds triple expansion steam engines with 400, 800 and 1000 hp. These machines increase the role of river transport on the Volga river. After death of Ivan Kolchin the plant passes according to his will to the tradesman from Kazan Ustin Kurbatov who continues to develop it.

| The injector invented by Kalashnikov in 1883 is exhibited at Handicraft fair in Nizhny Novgorod. The scientist is awarded a gold medal of Russian Technical Society for it.
